Why am I receiving an error when I try to edit business rules?

After opening business rules Configuration > Site Configuration > Rules and immediately selecting the Edit tab the following error is reported.
Error. Please try again later.
When a site has a large number of business rules it can take a few moments to complete load the entire rule set. If the Edit tab is selected before the rule set has had a chance to load completely an error can occur.
If this is the case two steps can be taken.
- Simply close the Rules Tab and reopen it and wait for the rules set to completely load before attempting to edit. You will know that they have loaded when the rules list appears in the left window.
- If the problem persist then re-activate your rules set.
