Warning message "Data has been modified. Do you wish to discard your edits?" when refreshing an incident
Answer ID 7924   |   Last Review Date 01/14/2021

Why do I receive the warning "Do you wish to save your changes?" when pressing refresh or close on an incident workspace?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service, All versions

Issue:

Save prompt when closing an incident without making any changes.

Resolution:

Add a save to the workspace rules after the edit action or a save element to the workflow after the set field element.

Cause:

This warning message appears when a data change has taken place without any save action before closing the incident. The data change could be done by the agent or a workspace rule or a workflow set field element.  When refresh button is pressed or incident is closed, the warning message pops-up because the application is seeing the uncommitted data change and it is asking if you want to commit or cancel the edit.
