E-mails sent from Oracle B2C Service look different when received by customer
Answer ID 7776   |   Last Review Date 12/12/2018

Why do e-mails received from Oracle B2C Service look different when received by the customer?

Environment:

All versions.

Resolution:

Our customers often use multiple e-mail clients, such as Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. Each client is unique and it has it's own set of standards.

Although our goal is to keep the standards used up to date, some of the e-mail clients make small changes which affect the way the output of the HTML/CSS code displays on the user's systems.

Other factors also influence the way an e-mail looks, such as the version of the internet browser which may not be up to date, therefore processing the e-mail in a wrong way.

We always encourage proofing the e-mails on multiple e-mail clients before sending a mass mailing.
