Spell checking incidents in multiple language sites
Answer ID 2475   |   Last Review Date 11/18/2022

Which language is used to spell check an incident? What happens if we spell check an incident assigned to our German interface from our English interface?

Environment:

Spell Check, Incidents
Oracle B2C Service

Resolution:

.NET

When spell checking an incident, the system will use the spell checker that is associated to the language used in the Language field found under the Details tab in the incident workspace.  This means that the spell checker will not necessarily match the interface language; if the language id and the interface language aren't the same, the spell checker will use the language id rather than the interface language.

BUI:

When spell checking an incident, BUI will use the browser's spell checker and it will use the language set in the browser.  It's suggested that the Chrome settings -> Languages allows you to select the language and gives you more options.
