Manual spell check shows HTML code
Answer ID 8064   |   Last Review Date 02/10/2020

Why am I seeing HTML code when I am pressing "Spell Check" button?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service, All versions

Resolution:

As a standard design, when pressing button "Spell Check" from the ribbon (manual spell check), in the new window, the entire thread is being displayed including the HTML code behind, which is generated by the rich text editor.

If you don't want the spell checker to verify the HMTL code, there is a checkbox named "Ignore the HTML markups" on the "Options" menu that can be activated.

  1. When editing an incident, select Spell Check from the top ribbon
  2. From the Spell Check pop up window, select the Options button
  3. There are several options that can be disabled and enabled

Spell Checker - checking: Threads, click Options button. Check the box for Ignore HTML markups and click OK.
