How do I set up Send on Save in Browser User Interface (BUI)?
Environment:
Browser User Interface (BUI)
Resolution:
As of 25A, Send on Save is supported in the BUI.
Send on Save is a property within the incident workspaces that is defined by the administrator. When it is enabled and the agent selects Save, depending on the options defined, a response will automatically be sent to the contact.
A custom config is required for the Send on Save to display in the incident workspaces in BUI.
Once the custom config is enabled, Send on Save can be configured in the Workspace Designer in the CX Desktop (.NET).
The first step is to create a Custom Config to enable the Send on Save feature in the browser UI.
- In the .NET Agent Desktop, open the Configuration Settings from the Navigation Set under Configuration > Site Configuration
- Close the Search dialog if it opens by default
- In the Ribbon, select New > Yes/No
- A new window will open to enter the following detailed information
- Key: CUSTOM_CFG_BUI_SEND_ON_SAVE
- Data Type: Yes/No
- Default: Yes
- Save
The second step is to set the Send on Save options in the Workspace Designer.
- Open the Workspace Designer in the .NET client and the Incident workspace the Send on Save will display
- Click on the Messages tab in the Tab Set Control
- Select the Design tab at the top to display the Design Ribbon
- From the Ribbon, select Response Options and a drop down will display showing the options for Send on Save
Options in the workspace designer Response Options include:
- Confirm response when saving and Send on Save is selected
- Add a response when selecting Send on Save if no response already exists
- Reassign the incident when Send on Save is selected
- No Change, The Current Agent, To Unassign
- Automatically select Send on Save when opening an incident
- Never: The Send on Save box is never enabled when an incident is opened, or a new incident is created.
- On New: The Send on Save box is enabled by default for new incidents. The Send on Save box is clear when existing incidents are opened for editing.
- On Edit: The Send on Save box is enabled when an existing incident is opened for editing. The Send on Save box is clear when new incidents are added.
- On New and Edit: The Send on Save box is enabled (checked) for both new incidents and when an existing incident is opened for editing and a response is added.
- Change the incident's status when Send on Save is selected
- No Change, To Waiting, To Solved
