Importing menu-only custom objects in Element Manager

Why are the new/updated items I created for my menu-only custom object not imported when using Element Manager?
Environment: Browser User Interface (BUI), Element Manager
Resolution:
In the .NET Object Designer, once the menu is created, there is no way to add labels to it through the Object Designer. This was noted in the documentation Create a Menu-Only Custom Object. You cannot add new labels and also, if you export a menu type class from another site which has extra labels and deploy it in your target site through Object Designer, the labels don't get added.
Since Element Manager is using the same APIs as the Object Designer, the same behavior will be seen with Element Manager during Custom Object import.
The only way you can add more labels to the existing menu type class is through the Customizable Menu editor in .NET.
