"Oracle RightNow is currently not authenticating" message
Answer ID 12757   |   Last Review Date 12/13/2023

I have an account that belongs to a profile that's not using SSO, but when I click on "Change Password" I receive the message "Oracle RightNow is currently not authenticating authority Do you wish to continue?." Why am I seeing this message, if the profile isn't using SSO?

Environment:

Staff accounts, changing account's password.
Oracle B2C Service

Resolution:

When you have enabled the SSO login method at a site level, anytime you try to change an account's password [From .NET -> Staff Management -> Staff Accounts by Profile -> Open the account -> Click on Change Password button] you will see this type of message.

The message is only a reminder that the default login method for your site is a third-party authenticator [which is not managed by Oracle] and clicking the Yes option will allow you to continue changing the password. However, it's important to mention that the password that you are changing is the Oracle password, not the third-party authenticator password.
