Why is my custom copy of a standard Questions report not working as expected using the REST API?

Environment:

Customer Portal (CP)

Issue:

A copy of a standard Questions report is not working as expected when using the REST API analyticsReportResults endpoint?
 

Resolution:

The standard Questions reports include the following detail within their descriptions provided within the report definition:
 
"This report is intended for use on the Customer Portal page where customers can find incidents they have submitted."
 
These reports, including IDs 196, 128, 156 and 159, rely on a logged in contact while there is no contact ID filter used by the standard reports. These reports also use the MYQ_VIEW_ORG_INCIDENTS configuration. For these reasons the reports, or copies of them, will not work as expected when used in other ways. If such a custom report is required it should be created new rather than using a copy of one of these reports.
