Broken images after modifying path or file name in CKFinder
Answer ID 12673 |
Last Review Date 08/01/2023
How can we make the images appear in existing knowledge base articles after changing the folder name?
Environment:
- Knowledge Advanced, all versions
- Authoring
- Rich text editor "Insert Image > Browse Server" asset store
Issue:
We changed the name of a folder in the asset store. Now the existing articles that already referenced those assets display broken images.
Resolution:
Update the existing articles to point to the new path name. Double-click the image and locate it in its current location by using the Browse Server button as you would when inserting the image to start. Save or publish your changes.
After the link checker utility has run overnight, published articles containing broken image or hyperlink references can be identified from the Broken URIs report (ID: 236) located in the Oracle B2C Service analytics report hierarchy at Public Reports > Common > Site Administration > Link Checker. Click the number in the "Usage" column to display which answers contain that link.
