Object Reference error when opening a document

Why are we receiving "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error when editing / creating a Documents, Templates, or Snippets?
Environment:
Documents / Templates / Snippets
Oracle B2C Service, All versions
Resolution:
One possible reason for why this can occur is if Design tab cannot be loaded. This is an expected behavior if the profile assigned to staff member do not have permission to use the HTML editor in design mode.
Once "HTML Design Mode" in the profile permission has been enabled in either Outreach or Feedback or both, the error will no longer occur.
