phpinfo in custom php file gets an error

Why does a php file in custom with the call phpinfo() get an error?
Environment:
Oracle B2C Service Oracle B2C Service Connect PHP
Issue:
Access to phpinfo() is blocked due to security concerns. Any file that uses phpinfo() will get an error.
Resolution:
Development periodically reviews the php build and adds to the listed of blocked functions, this is expected.
