What data is contained in the chats.user_agent_string field?
Environment: Oracle B2C Service Cloud
Resolution:
A user agent is any software acting on behalf of a user, which retrieves, renders and facilitates end-user interaction with web content. The user_agent_string field in the chats table contains details about the browser type, rendering engine, and operating system of the device used to conduct a chat.
For example, a user agent string for Firefox on Windows 10 may look like this:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0
While a user agent string for Chrome on an iPhone may look like this:
Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 11_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/604.1.34 (KHTML, like Gecko) CriOS/69.0.3497.91 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1
