Accessing the "Rule Runtime Log" for Enhanced Business Rules in Browser UI
Answer ID 11881   |   Last Review Date 11/12/2024

Where is the Rule Runtime Log located for Enhanced Business Rules?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service, Browser UI Enhanced Business Rules

Resolution:

Once you migrate to the Browser UI Enhanced Business Rules in the Browser UI, you will want to view the Rule Runtime Logs when determining which rules have been matched against your incident (or other business objects). To access the Rule Runtime Log folder to view the report options available, go to Navigation -> Analytics -> Reports Explorer -> search on "rule runtime log". You will see the list of rule runtime log reports available.

The primary report used by agents is the Rule Runtime Log report (ac_id 13158) which allows you to search by i_id (incident id). The i_id (incident ID) can be seen from the incidents' workspace tab (when viewing an incident) as you hover over the incident tab.

The output in these logs is similar to the rule log you were used to seeing in the .NET agent desktop. The Rule Logs are available for 30 days. The Rule Audit Logs are available for one year. Once the logs have been purged, there is no possibility to retrieve the purged data. These thresholds are not configurable.

Another useful report is the Incident Rule Runtime Log by Reference Number report - ac_id 13155. This report can also be added to incident workspaces when linked with filter mappings on reference number.

These reports are found in \Public Reports\Common\Site Administration\Business Rules\Rule Runtime Log. Note that the base table is not available for making new reports therefore one of the above reports must be used.
