Why is there mismatched date values in Reports when comparing to the Content History page of the KA Authoring tool?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service Knowledge Advanced

Issue:

There are mismatched date values in Analytics Reports when comparing to the corresponding entry at the Content History page of the Knowledge Advanced Authoring tool.

Resolution:

This is expected behavior due to the different time references used by Oracle B2C Service Analytics and Knowledge Advanced (KA) Authoring tool.

Cause:

The Oracle B2C Service Analytics and Knowledge Advanced Authoring tool track/display times based on different references. 

• For Oracle B2C Service Analytics, the time is always based/referenced by its database time (PDT/UTC-7). 
   
• For Knowledge Advanced Authoring tool, the time is based/referenced by the time-zone of the hosting data center of the target site. 

As a result, time values can display differently between Analytics and the Authoring tool.
