Unable to pull answers set as Private status using Connect Knowledge API (Knowledge Foundation API)

How can we pull answers with the Knowledge Foundation API without first making them end-user visible?

Environment:

Connect Knowledge API (Knowledge Foundation API), All product versions

Resolution:

Answers must be end-user visible to be pulled using the Knowledge Foundation API. Answers set to the Private status are never end-user visible and therefore cannot be pulled using the API. This is working as designed behavior.
