Where do I find the Windows Event logs?

Environment:

Resolution:

You  may have experienced a .NET error while in (or logging into) Oracle B2C Service, this error may have been recorded by Microsoft, via the Windows Event Viewer.

This error log will not show up in:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\RightNow_Technologies\SiteFiles\<sitename>\Errors.

To export the logs from the Windows Event Viewer:

For Windows 7, Windows 8, Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2

  1. Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer
  2. Expand the Windows Logs folder
  3. Select the Application Log
  4. Go to Action, Filter Current Log
  5. In the Event Level area check both the Warning and Error boxes
  6. Go to Action, Save Filtered Log As… and save the log in the default format of .evtx
  7. Repeat the above steps and save the System Log, filtered for warnings and errors
  8. Attach both logs to your response in the incident

For Windows 10

  1. Go to Start, Control Panel, System and Security, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer
  2. Expand the Windows Logs folder
  3. Select the Application Log
  4. Select the Application Log
  5. In the Event Level area check both the Warning and Error boxes
  6. Go to Action, Save Filtered Log As… and save the log in the default format of .evtx
  7. Repeat the above steps and save the System Log, filtered for warnings and errors
  8. Attach both logs to your response in the incident
