Including a run date in a report

How can I add a run date to a report?

Resolution:

In a Printed Report:  When creating a new report, the Current Date field is automatically enabled in the page header. The header becomes visible when you print the report.

Within the header, the Current Date field displays as {CurrentDate} and is aligned right in the header. The default font is black with a font size of 9 and a bolded style.

  • To modify the style, right click on the field and select Edit Text Field.
     
  • To delete the Current Date field, right click on the field and select Delete Text Field.


To add the Current Date field to the page footer or to add the field back into a report if it has been removed, use the steps below:

  1. Open the report for editing.
  2. Click the Insert tab.
  3. Click Text Field > {Current Date}.
  4. Move the mouse to the page header or footer. When the mouse hovers over the header or footer, the text field displays in gray.
  5. Click in the header or footer to place the field.
  6. Save the report.

To hide repeating values:

  1. Open the report for editing.
  2. Right click on a column header and select Edit Format.
  3. Select the Alignment tab and check the box for Hide Repeating Values. 
  4. Click OK. Save the report.

In an Electronic Report:

1. Display the report header
2. Drag and drop the {CurrentDate} field from the text menu into the report header area.
3. Save the report.
