How do I find details for billed sessions?
Environment:
Oracle B2C Service, all supported versions
The Browser User Interface Administration page
Resolution:
The Service Usage Metrics dashboard (SUM), accessible only in the agent browser interface (BUI), provides valuable information on key usage metrics such as sessions, seats, custom objects, API utilization, and site storage. Separate reports are available for each metric including session usage across tiers 1, 2 and 3. These reports are intended for use by site administrators and are available only to agents with the Administrator profile permission.
You can now access detailed information about billed tier 1, 2 and 3 sessions directly within the SUM. The new reports provide comprehensive details including engagement IDs, IP addresses, interfaces visited (labeled 'Instance ID'), user agents, operating system and browser information, referrers and additional pertinent data points. To access the detailed reports, log into your site's BUI and open the Service Usage Metrics dashboard. Then:
- Select the 'Sessions' tile
- Select the appropriate Tier tile
- Select the month the sessions occurred
- Select the day the sessions occurred
- Select the hour the sessions occurred
* The month, day, and hour data can be accessed by choosing the relevant option from the graphs or by clicking the blue total next to your desired option under the 'Session Count' column in the reports. Navigation arrows at the top of the report allow you to navigate back to previously selected options and return to the main report.
The billable sessions detailed report provides session information on an hourly basis. The data is initially sorted by start time in UTC. Select any column header to sort the session details by that field.
Note: To ensure data security, our billing system records IP addresses in a masked format, removing the last octet (IPv4) or nibble (IPv6) from the full IP address. This anonymized data is presented in the 'Anonymized IP' column.
Our billing system runs scripts which identify and remove traffic that is clearly automated, a process that can take up to a week to complete. As a result, billable session totals may change within this 7-day window.
Should you find sessions in your clickstreams data which are not present in the detailed report, then your organization was not billed for those sessions.
