Rich Text editor updates for Chat in the Browser User Interface
Answer ID 12872 |
Last Review Date 07/29/2024
Are there updates to the Rich Text editor for agents handling chats in the BUI?
Environment:
B2C Service Chat, Browser UI, Engagement Panel
Oracle B2C Service
Resolution:
As of the August 8th 2024 Browser UI Release 24C release (Build 3.24.07.19-b0003), the B2C Service Chat solutions is using a new Rich Text editor. For agents handling chat in the Browser UI, the rich text area has been updated to a more streamlined & secure version that is entirely owned by Oracle.
While efforts have been made to keep this transition smooth, agents will experience a few minor differences when working in the chat panel. The updates to the agent’s experience in chat include:
• A smaller compose control (65p) where the agent enters their message
• Now, the buttons in the rich text editor are colored blue when selected
• The list of emojis is updated, so that it matches the available emojis provided in the Answer Editor
