Why am I receiving the error: 'The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine' when trying to upload an .xlsx file via .NET add-in?
Environment:
Oracle B2C Service, Add-ins, Customizations
Issue:
I receive the following error when I try to upload an .xlsx file via a custom add-in: 'The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine'.

Resolution:
Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 is a component of a version of the Microsoft Access Database. The .NET add-in is looking for that and not able to find it, causing the error. The Oracle B2C Service product does not include or reference Microsoft Access. For the add-in to properly function that Access component needs to be installed on the user’s machine.
