How can I maintain a lean active rule base in Enhanced Business Rules?

Environment:

Enhanced Business Rules, Usage Statistics

Resolution:

The ‘View recommended actions’ in the Usage Statistics tab of each object in Enhanced Business Rules provides the list of ‘Not Executed Rules’ for the time period chosen. The admins can ‘Disable’ or ‘Delete’ all or a sub-set of these rules from the dialog box. In the confirmation dialog, the admins will be provided the option to Disable/Delete or Disable/Delete and deploy. If the admins choose to only Delete or Disable, the rules will saved in the deleted or disabled status in the Edit Rule base and the active rule base will be unchanged. The admins have to manually deploy the rule base later for the changes to be effective.

The ‘Choose rules to delete’ will list down the number of disabled rules that can be deleted. Here too the admins can delete all or a sub-set of rules, and will be provided the option to Delete or Delete and deploy the rules. If the admins choose to only delete, the rules will saved in the deleted status in the Edit rule base and have to be manually deploy the rule base later for the changes to be effective.
