Updating a specific activity property does not generate entry on History tab

Why isn't a property update generating an entry on History tab?

We are using both SOAP and REST API calls to update a specific property in Oracle Field Service. Although the property gets updated, there is no entry in the history tab of the appointment.


The behavior described is a result of the property not being marked as a visible property within the Monitored activity fields, which is a global configuration.
You may add the property by navigating to Configuration > Display > Monitored activity fields - under Activity History section. Select the edit pencil Icon and select the plus icon to add the property. Select 'OK' and 'Save' at the bottom of the page. The property will start being monitored in the History tab and will display future changes.
