Refreshing Test Sites After B2C Service Update
Answer ID 11234   |   Last Review Date 12/17/2019

When can I refresh my test site after updating to a new version?

Oracle B2C Service (OSvC), Configuration Assistant

Oracle B2C Service (OSvC) users are able to create or refresh test sites (tst sites) within the Oracle Cloud Portal - Configuration Assistant self-service tool. If a test site is refreshed immediately after a cutover, the database update may not have completed for the production site so Oracle recommends that a refresh takes place after the cutover post-process completes successfully. The post-process kicks off 24 hours after the cutover and typically takes a few hours to complete.

In order to ensure that the test site can be created or refreshed please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log into Configuration Assistant.

  2. From the Configuration Assistant home page, click on the Site Operations hamburger menu on the right side of your Oracle B2C Service production site and select "Manage My Update"

  3. Check under the “Production Site Status” section. If the status is one of the following you can proceed with test site creation/refresh:

    • Post Cutover Process Complete
    • On Latest Version
    • Eligible for Update

Please refer to the answer below for more details about the Production Site Statuses in Configuration Assistant:
