When can I refresh my test site after updating to a new version?
Environment:
Oracle B2C Service (OSvC), Configuration Assistant
Resolution:
Oracle B2C Service (OSvC) users are able to create or refresh test sites (tst sites) within the Oracle Cloud Portal - Configuration Assistant self-service tool. If a test site is refreshed immediately after a cutover, the database update may not have completed for the production site so Oracle recommends that a refresh takes place after the cutover post-process completes successfully. The post-process kicks off 24 hours after the cutover and typically takes a few hours to complete.
In order to ensure that the test site can be created or refreshed please follow the instructions below:
- Log into Configuration Assistant.
- From the Configuration Assistant home page, click on the Site Operations hamburger menu on the right side of your Oracle B2C Service production site and select "Manage My Update"
- Check under the “Production Site Status” section. If the status is one of the following you can proceed with test site creation/refresh:
- Post Cutover Process Complete
- On Latest Version
- Eligible for Update
