Preventing the system-defined administrator account password from expiring
Answer ID 10822   |   Last Review Date 04/23/2019

Is it possible to prevent the system-defined administrator account password from expiring?

Environment:

All Releases
Staff Accounts, Password Configuration
Oracle B2C Service

Resolution:

The standard product functionality allows control of individual staff accounts, but it does not allow control over the system-defined administrator account password.

If you have the Password Configuration > Password Expiration > Expiration Interval set > = 0, then the system-defined administrator account password will expire.  The only way to prevent the system-defined administrator account password from expiring is to set the Expiration Interval = 0, but that will turn it off for all staff accounts.

There is no way to control this account on an individual basis like you can with individual staff accounts.
