How to avoid "Unknown application error" while opening Reports Explorer in BUI?

Environment:

Browser User Interface (BUI),
Oracle B2C Service, all versions

Issue:

On some workstations (PC) "Unknown application error" returned while opening Reports Explorer.

Resolution:

In most cases, this is related to a browser configuration. More specifically, it can be caused by add-ins or third party browser extensions. Check if your browser is using some AdBlocks and, in such a case, disable extensions and restart the browser.  If error still returned, next thing to check will be extensions that control browser traffic. Disable extensions one by one until the problem is resolved.
