Understanding Search Concepts for Knowledge Advanced
Answer ID 10315   |   Last Review Date 04/03/2019

What is the criteria used to determine what search results will be returned when a product concept is found to be one of the search concepts that the search term evaluates to?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service
Knowledge Advanced (KA)

Issue:

I have used Manage Search Query (MSQ) for Knowledge Advanced to tune a search request that is analyzed using a product concept created automatically. What is the criteria used to determine what search results will be returned when the product concept is found to be one of the search concepts that the search term evaluates to?

Resolution:

Search results correlate to search concepts as shown/configured in KA MSQ. If a search concept is a product search concept created automatically using KA Automatic Product Concepts, search results will include any knowledge articles associated to the product itself in KA Authoring. The results will also include any knowledge articles that contain the text configured in MSQ as a synonym for the search concept (for text included in the knowledge article within an indexed field).
