Some tables cannot be used in reports
Answer ID 9089   |   Last Review Date 11/03/2022

How do I know which table columns be used in reports?

Environment:

Analytics, Data Dictionary
Oracle B2C Service, All versions

Issue:

As one example, fields related to SSO are not accessible in reports.

Resolution:

There are some tables that are not meant to be used for reporting purposes. You can check this by accessing Data Dictionary.  If "Analytics Usage" is not present under "Column Information" then the column cannot be used with analytics.

To help illustrate:

- In the following table can be used in analytics:

Column Information for incidents.banner_txt field shows Analytics Usage equals All

-  In this table, the "Analytics Usage" section is missing. This indicates this table cannot be used in analytics:

Column Information for mail_addrs.email_address field does not include the Analytics Usage detail because it cannot be used.

For additional information regarding 'Analytics Usage', refer to the 'View Your Database Data Dictionary' section in the online documentation for the version your site is currently running. To access Oracle B2C Service manuals and documentation online, refer to the Documentation for Oracle B2C Service Products.
