Why am I getting a "Not Found" error 404 message when accessing chat pages using a syndicated proactive chat widget?

Issue:
We are receiving an error when accessing chat pages using a syndicated proactive chat widget
Error 404 "Page not found" message
Resolution:
This error can be caused by having an incorrect value in the CP_CHAT_URL configuration setting.
If you are getting a 404 error after pressing the Submit button on a proactive chat offer, review the value of the configuation setting CP_CHAT_URL.
If the setting is "utils/chat" update it to "chat/chat_launch".
Path to setting(s): Select Configuration from the navigation area > Site Configuration > Configuration Settings > and search by Key.
