Why am I seeing new categories automatically added to 'Selected Categories' within Knowledge Advanced Authoring > Repository View Properties?

Issue:
We are seeing that new categories are automatically added to 'Selected Categories' within Knowledge Advanced Authoring > Repository > Views > Repository View Properties.
Resolution:
When new categories are added to an Oracle B2C Service instance/site that uses the Knowledge Advanced product feature, those categories are automatically added to 'Selected Categories' within Knowledge Advanced Authoring > Repository > Views > Repository View Properties. In turn, this means that once content processing has run after such a change, the new categories will show as associated to all KA Views unless manually removed from the View configuration after creating the categories (and before the next content processing run).
This behavior is as-designed in an effort to reduce the amount of work required to add new categories to the site/instance configuration for KA-enabled sites. Products are handled in the same manner and for further information see
