Receiving 'Invalid Pre -Screen Pop Config Item' when launching the first chat
Answer ID 8761   |   Last Review Date 09/26/2018

Why am I seeing a warning message after accepting the first a chat?

Environment:

Chat, Agent Console

Issue:

After logging into the console and launching a first chat, the 'Invalid Pre -Screen Pop Config Item :' warning message is being received as seen in the screen shot bellow:

Image

Resolution:

This behavior is observed only for the first chat that is being accepted and will not appear for any subsequent chats. In addition, the warning message will re-appear after logging out and logging back into the console.

This behavior is being caused by the CHAT_ALERTFORM_DISPLAY configuration setting having a space delimiter at the end of the value section or any unwanted character. This configuration specifies the database fields to be displayed in incoming chat alerts and any unsupported text being entered will cause this warning message.

To resolve this behavior, you will have to edit this configuration setting and remove the space delimiter or any other un-supported character.

Path to setting(s): Select Configuration from the navigation area > Site Configuration > Configuration Settings > and search by Key.
