When installing, why are we are getting the error, "Cannot continue. The application is improperly formatted."?

To remedy this issue, have the agent manually delete the following folder C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\. if it exists.
Then reboot the workstation and install any pending Microsoft updates before installing the Oracle Service Cloud application.
PLEASE NOTE: If the folder C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\ is not visible in Windows Explorer, please enable viewing of system and hidden files.

This problem occurs when the ClickOnce installer does not recognize a chained certificate as a valid Authenticode certificate. This is most often is due to a .NET problem, pending updates from Microsoft needing to be installed, or web browser settings blocking the install.
