Reports only display ID column

Why do some standard reports only display one ID column (i.e. Incidents, Contacts) and not multiple columns?

Resolution:
This is by design for some reports. You can check how many columns a report has by looking at the Columns section in the definition of the report or by opening the report in edit mode. Since standard reports cannot be edited, you can create a copy of them and edit the copy. After you created the copy of the standard report you can modify it to meet your business needs. Below is one example (Contacts report ID 13027):
