Environment:
All product versions previous to the May 2015 release of Oracle B2C Service
Issue:
I am unable to see the "RightNow Common -> External Integration -> Connect" configuration to turn on the Connect REST API for my site.
Resolution:
The May 2015 release of Oracle B2C Service includes the Rest API as a new feature available to customers; any version below does not allow the use of Rest API. Once a site is upgraded to the May 2015 or August 2015 product version or newer the REST API can be enabled using the PAPI_REST_ENABLED configuration as indicated in the Connect REST API product documentation. Product versions past August 2015 have the REST API enabled for all sites.
NOTE: This configuration setting is not interface specific but rather site wide. When searching in either May 2015 or August 2015 make sure in the “Configuration Base” filter that you select either: site or Select all If you attempt to select a specific interface from the Configuration Base filer you will not see the PAPI_REST_ENABLED setting.
