Remember Me Functionality for Oracle B2C Service
Answer ID 7830   |   Last Review Date 09/20/2023

How do I retain my Remember-Me functionality for Oracle B2C Service?

Environment:

Login, All supported versions

Resolution:

In order to retain your 'Remember Me' functionality on the .NET login page each agent will have to perform the following steps:

  1. Make sure you are logged out of Oracle B2C Service
  2. Open the Internet Properties in Windows per your current version of Windows
  3. Go to Content / Auto-complete / Setting
  4. Enable User names and passwords on forms if not enabled already
  5. Check to see that 'ask me before saving passwords' is checked, check if required
  6. Log into Oracle B2C Service, with your username and password
  7. You will receive a pop-up asking if the browser can save your password
  8. Click 'Yes'
  9. Oracle B2C Service will launch
  10. The next time you login, left click your mouse in the username box
  11. A drop-down will appear with your username
  12. Click on your username, and your password will auto-populate
  13. Select Login
  14. Oracle B2C Service will launch
  15. These settings will be saved going forward so you should be able to continue to login this way until you change your password
  16. When your password is changed, Windows will remember this on the next login and you will receive pop-up asking to confirm the change (see below)
Note:  The solution presented in this post does not apply to Single Sign On (SSO), it only applies to the application login credentials from a staff account. SSO utilizes a separate (and external) form for login and credentials stored in the external IdP, thus is outside of the control of the B2C Service product team. When using SSO the recommendation is to first work to establish that the desired functionality works for the SSO login form when used directly from a web browser.
