Environment:
Customer Portal Framework Version 3.1 and higher
Issue:
An error occurs during staging indicating that a custom widget used on one or more pages is 'not supported on the current framework version'. For example, an error like the following might occur for a custom widget used on the answers/details page:
04/10/2015 01:59 PM Error - page: '/answers/detail.php' The widget <custom/widget> is not supported on the current framework version: 3.2. It is valid for the following framework versions: 3.0
Resolution:
Remove the 'framework' property from under 'requires' in the custom widget's information file ('info.yml') or update the same property, setting it to the current Customer Portal framework version.
Important: While making the change outlined above will enable you to stage your changes successfully, we do recommend that you thoroughly test all custom widgets after migrating to a newer framework version as additional changes may be required to make it fully functional on the new framework.
Cause:
Typically, this error occurs for a custom widget if a specific framework version is indicated in the widget's information file ('info.yml') that does not match the current Customer Portal framework version. This is most often seen when attempting to stage the Customer Portal immediately after migrating to a newer framework version.
