During configuration, what values are we supposed to enter for Server Name and Interface Name?
Environment:
Outlook Integration
Issue:
We are trying to set up Outlook integration with our Oracle B2C Service site. When defining the Credential Information, we are supposed to enter the Server Name and Interface Name, but are unsure of what values to enter.
Resolution:
When configuring Outlook Integration for your site, you must specify the connection between Outlook and the Oracle B2C Service server.
For more information on Outlook Integration, refer to the "Outlook integration" section in online documentation for the version your site is currently running. To access Oracle B2C Service manuals and documentation online, refer to the Documentation for Oracle B2C Service Products.
For the Server Name, enter the base of your site's URL. Include the custhelp.com part of the URL:
http://interfacename.custhelp.com or https://interfacename.custhelp.com
The interface name is the text preceding the .custhelp.com of the URL. If the URL contains dashes, use dashes in the server name, but convert each dash to an underscore when entering the value as the interface name. For example:
Server Name: http://apple-banana.custhelp.com Interface Name: apple_banana
For upgrade sites or cloned site, the server name includes the cloned content appended to the name. The interface name remains the same as the production site. For example, the server and interface name for an upgrade site is:
Server Name: http://apple-banana--upgrade.custhelp.com Interface Name: apple_banana
For sites with a vanity URL:
If your launch URL is the following (from the application launcher): https://somename.com/cgi-bin/interface.cfg Use the following values. Server Name: https://somename.com Interface Name: interface (without the ".cfg")
