Ribbon Icons not Rendering
Answer ID 13181   |   Last Review Date 10/08/2026

Why are the menu icons in the upper right corner of the browser user interface not displayed normally?

Environment:

Ribbon Icons, Browser User Interface (BUI)

Resolution:

Use these checks when icons in the upper-right corner of the Oracle B2C Service Browser UI home screen are missing or do not render correctly.

Prerequisites: Access to the affected Browser UI environment and, for network comparisons, an approved alternative network. Network configuration reviews require an authorized network administrator.

  1. Check whether the missing icons remain clickable and whether clicking their locations opens the expected functions. Record which icons are affected.
  2. Test another browser. Clear the affected browser’s cache and cookies, then sign in again. If the issue occurs in only one browser, test with extensions and add-ins disabled.
  3. Compare access to the same environment using the same profile from another approved network. If the icons display correctly there, investigate differences in network filtering.
  4. Have the network administrator review proxy, firewall, and content-filter rules against the applicable Oracle B2C Service infrastructure requirements. Check whether required application traffic is being blocked. The customer network administration team must ensure that all communication between the Oracle B2C Service application and the Oracle hosted servers is allowed, in an unrestricted manner, through all levels of the customer network.
  5. After any approved configuration changes, sign in again and check the affected icons.

These checks help distinguish browser-specific behavior from network-dependent behavior and verify whether approved changes restore icon rendering.
