WCFS Surveys not loading in iframes on external site
Answer ID 13131   |   Last Review Date 03/27/2026

Why is the WCFS survey not loading in an iframe?

Environment
Chat
Oracle B2C Service

Issue

When configuring a post-chat survey to load within an iframe in the WCFS widget on an external website, the iframe may render as expected, but the survey content itself does not load.

Resolution
By default, embedding Oracle B2C Service content within iframes on external websites is restricted for security reasons. This measure is in place to mitigate risks such as clickjacking and other forms of unauthorized content framing. As a result, the behavior you are experiencing is expected.

If you intend to use post-chat surveys with a WCFS widget on an external site, there are two supported approaches:
  1. Use the survey link option
Instead of embedding the survey within an iframe, you can configure the widget to redirect users to the survey via a direct link. This avoids any restrictions imposed by browser or platform security policies.

    or

  2. Request a CSP update to allow iframing
Alternatively, you can submit a service request to the Oracle B2C Service Technical Support team to allow iframe embedding for your specific external domain. This involves updating the Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to explicitly permit framing from the requested origin.

When submitting the request, please include the following details:

  • The interface where the survey is configured
  • The full URL of the external website where the iframe will be embedded
