What are the differences between the "Compare Versions" and "Side by Side View" function at KA Authoring>Content View>Info portlet?

Environment:

Knowledge Advanced for Oracle B2C Service

Resolution:

There are "Compare Versions" and "Side by Side View" function at KA Authoring>Content View>Info portlet for end-user to compare/spot the differences between any existing two versions of a given content (say FAQ123 v2.0 and v4.1).
The "Compare Versions" function at KA Authoring>Content View>Info portlet would show the differences in-line/highlighted on a single page and typically, it is good/easy to spot if there is the actual content data (additions and deletions) changes between two versions.  But it is not good to spot the formatting/style (bullet, spacing...) differences if the actual content data is unchanged.  To compare/spot the formatting/style (bullet, spacing...) differences, it is better/easier to use "Side by Side View" function at KA Authoring>Content View>Info portlet which would show 'side by side' the two versions so that one can tell the formatting/style (bullet, spacing...) differences even if the actual content data is unchanged.
