What is an Alias in a report?

Environment: 

All Sites, Reports.

Issue:

A single table shows up in a report multiple times in the format "tableName," "tableName2," etc.

Resolution:

In a report, an alias may be used for a table name by taking the table's name, and appending a number to the end. This is used when one table needs to be joined to another table several times.

For example, incidents can be joined to accounts where incidents.assgn_acct_id = accounts.acct_id (shown below as "accounts"), or incidents.created_by = accounts.acct_id (shown below as "accounts2"). If both are used, the Data Set window will display the table alias:
