Why does are query to B2C Service via Connect Web Services for SOAP (QueryCSV) fail with an error?

When I submit a specific query to B2C Service via Connect Web Services for SOAP (QueryCSV), it fails with an error:
"There has been an error with your request."?
There is a 200 kilobyte limit to the amount of data that can be returned by a SOAP QueryCSV call. Submitting a query that would return more than this amount of data will result in a failure with error: "There has been an error with your request.". Adjusting the query so that it does not return this much data is the common solution to this problem.
If you are receiving such a response on a QueryCSV call to the API and suspect this is not the reason for the failure, please submit a service request via Ask Technical Support for root cause investigation.
