When importing IdP metadata into Single Sign-On Configurations, why are we getting the error "Certificate is not in a valid format?"

Environment:
  • Oracle B2C Service, any version
  • Single Sign-On Configuration
  • Importing identity provider (IdP) metadata
Issue:
 
We tried to import identity provider metadata but received the error "Certificate is not in a valid format."
 
Resolution:
 
There was whitespace in the certificate field in the IdP metadata XML. Removing this whitespace resolved the issue.
