How can I link customers to surveys without adding them to the Oracle Service Cloud database?

Issue:

Trying to link customers to a survey without adding them to the database.

Resolution:

It is possible for you to create a (website link) survey, grab the link to it, and distribute in any way (outside the system you so choose). If you do not require authentication for the survey (which is the default) and you do not have any type of contact form fields, it will accept responses anonymously and contacts will not be added.

If you want to use our system to send the survey, it requires a contact. This is needed to ensure you honor opt-outs.

If you put a contact form field such as 'email' or 'first_name' somewhere on the survey page, then when that page is submitted, we would have to create a contact to store that information.  As previously stated, if you just have survey questions, then no contact would be created (via website link survey).
