Why can't I add OIC endpoint without writing over existing one?
Answer ID 9841   |   Last Review Date 03/15/2022

Why does my existing endpoint get overwritten with new data when I add a new OIC endpoint?

Environment

Oracle Field Service (OFS)
Issue

When adding a new endpoint for an OIC integration, the existing entry is replaced with the new data rather than creating a new entry.

Resolution

You are trying to add an integration with the OIC Domain that already exists, thus OFS accepts this as editing of the current integration.

OIC Domain is a unique value.  (Only one integration point can be added with the same OIC Domain)

To modify an integration, follow these steps:

On the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) screen, click Modify for the end-point that you want to modify. The Edit Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Access dialog opens.

Edit the fields as required. You can edit all the fields, except for OIC Domain.

Click Submit.

Cause - You are trying to add an integration with the OIC Domain that already exists, thus OFS accepts this as editing of the current integration.

Notes

To add more than one, integrations should have different domains.
