Why is www.rnengage.com sometimes slow to respond?

Environment:

February 2013 and newer using the Engagement Engine Integration

Issue:

While conducting page loading performance analysis on pages which leverage the Engagement Engine you might notice slow response times reported for two endpoints hosted on http://www.rnengage.com, specifically e.js and acs.js.

Resolution:

These endpoints are responsible for measuring usage data on Oracle's side and are always loaded asynchronously. Their response times do not impact the performance of the Engagement Engine integration.

For proper performance reporting, these should be excluded from measurements.
