Oracle B2C Service is not using server cache on Customer Portal as standard functionality


The reason why server caching is not the choice for how the customer portal was designed is that the management of multiple documents such as FAQ page, answers, etc, is done via a single file (for example view.php) and caching would prevent real-time updates to various components of the Customer Portal. This means that, when cached, if an answer is updated, for instance, the information displayed is not refreshed immediately, and to display the most up-to-date information to the customers is a priority in everyone's eyes.
