What is the Hotkey feature in the Support Console and how do I set it up?

Environment:

Standard text, hotkey

Resolution:

The F8 function key opens the quick text feature, which allows you to enter a hotkey sequence for a standard text. This allows staff to most easily append common standard texts based on the shortcut / hotkey sequence In the pop-up box, enter the hotkey sequence for the standard text you wish to append.

To use the quick text feature, use the steps below:

1. Position the cursor in the incident thread where you want the text to be appended. 
    
2. Press F8. 
    
3. Enter the hotkey / shortcut for the text and press Enter.
