What do I need to know about Customer Portal Basic Page Set and Facebook Self-Service Page deprecation?

Resolution:
Due to minimal adoption and maintenance overhead we have deprecated the Basic Page Set and Facebook Self-Service page features. Customers should review, and if necessary remediate the Basic Page Set, before upgrading to PHP 8.3.
How do I determine if my site is impacted?
Login to the Customer Portal Admin page, navigate to Page Set Mapping and then verify Basic is either disabled or not displayed. The site in the example below is not impacted. Only an enabled Basic page set requires remediation.

How do I remediate my site?
Login to WebDAV using Cyberduck to delete the Basic Page folder under development.

What happens when the Basic Page Set is removed?
Customer Portal content can be accessed through other means like standard templates or mobile pages.

How long do I have to migrate?
The deprecation period started August 2024 (24C). The deprecated features are expected to be removed from the application in 26C. End of Life (EOL) is defined in the Oracle Cloud Hosting and Delivery Policies.
What happens during the deprecation period?
No future enhancements will be made to the CP Facebook page and Basic Page Set. We will continue to fix defects, if any, identified as a part of product functionality for the CP PHP 5.6 code base.
