Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services & Digital Collaboration Cloud Services End of Service FAQ

Statement of Direction

Oracle has been evaluating its strategic direction and has determined that we will no longer be providing digital collaboration cloud services, and are therefore announcing the end of life of our Oracle Live Experience Cloud Service and Digital Collaboration Cloud Service offerings.

The below listed Oracle Live Experience Cloud Service and Digital Collaboration Cloud Service offerings have been assigned “End of Life” status and the last date of service for these Cloud Services will be February 28, 2025 (the “last date of service”).

If your current contracted Services Period for any of the Oracle Live Experience Cloud Service and Digital Collaboration Cloud Service offerings listed below extends beyond the last date of service, we will amend both your Services Period under your order for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services and the related invoicing to end on the last date of service (i.e., February 28, 2025).

Oracle does not have a replacement cloud service for Oracle Live Experience Cloud or Digital Collaboration Cloud to offer you. While there are other vendors who offer similar services, we are not able to make any recommendations as to a replacement vendor.

FAQ

Q. When will Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services cease operation?
A. Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services will cease operation on or shortly after February 28, 2025; this is the “last date of service”.

Q. What will happen after February 28, 2025?
A. After February 28, 2025, Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services will no longer operate.

Q. Can I continue to use Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services until February 28, 2025?
A. Yes, as long as you have a current order for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services, you can continue to use those Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services until February 28, 2025.

Q. Can I still create a new Oracle Live Experience Cloud Service or Digital Collaboration Cloud Service tenancy?
A. There are two situations:
1.    If you had previously created an Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services tenancy, then you will be allowed to create a new tenancy of the applicable Cloud Service(s) for which you had previously created a tenancy and you can use this new tenancy until February 28, 2025.
2.    If you had not previously created an Oracle Live Experiences and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services tenancy, then starting after February 29, 2024, you will not be allowed to create a new tenancy.

Q. What if I want to extend my usage of Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services to a period of time after February 28, 2025?
A. Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services will not be available for usage after the last date of service.

Q. Can I get support for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services between now and February 28, 2025?
A. Yes, Oracle will continue to operate and support Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services as described in the applicable Oracle documents until the last date of service.

Q. Does the end of life announcement impact any of the services we are getting today?
A. No, there is no change in the service we provide via Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services until February 28, 2025.

Q. My subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services is up for renewal in the next few months, what should I do?
A. You may choose to renew your subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services through February 28, 2025.  This will allow you time to select another vendor and start using their product without disrupting your business activities. If you do not wish to renew your subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services through February 28, 2025, you should select another vendor before your current subscription expires.  Alternatively, you may cancel your existing subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services earlier than your current subscription expiry date; please see the question below for more on this subject.

Q. Will I be invoiced for the entire length of my current Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services subscription?
A.  Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services will be available to all customers who have current orders for the applicable service(s) through the end of each customer’s Services Period, and we will continue to invoice customers until the applicable subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services expires or until February 28, 2025 (whichever comes first).

Q. What if I my Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services subscription extends past February 28, 2025?
A. If the Services Period on your order for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services extends beyond February 28, 2025, we will amend both the Services Period under your order for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services and the related invoicing to end on February 28, 2025.

Q. What if I want to cancel my subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services earlier than my Services Period expiry date?
A. With 30 days advance notice to Oracle, You can request that your subscription for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services be terminated by contacting your Oracle sales representative. Upon receipt of your notice, Oracle will then work to process the termination and any refund for unused Cloud Services fees you may have prepaid for the Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services for the period of time following the effective date of termination.

Q. How long will I have to migrate my data/content?
A. In accordance with the Oracle Cloud Hosting and Delivery Policies, you will have 60 days from the termination of the Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and/or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services to retrieve your data/content.

Q. I am currently using Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services or Digital Collaboration Cloud Services.  Are there alternative vendors or solutions I should consider?
A. Oracle does not have a replacement cloud service for Oracle Live Experience Cloud Services and Digital Collaboration Cloud Services to offer you. While there are other vendors who offer similar services, we are not able to make any recommendations as to a replacement vendor.
